LAPD Academy Preperation - forum.officer.com
Hello everyone! I just completed the LAPD hiring a few weeks ago and passed the oral psych. I am now "certified" and am waiting for an academy date. 0083, Local Police, or both?? - Officer.com

Sheriff Security Officer - Police Forums & Law Enforcement Forums
I currently work as an in house armed security officer for a high profile county facility. The benefits here are decent and the pay isn't awful, at least by security industry standards. I recently applied for a position as a security officer for the L.A. county Sheriff's department and was wondering what the process/job entailed. I believe the pay STARTS around $15 per hour which is around ...

Fayette County - Police Forums & Law Enforcement Forums @ Officer.com
Fayette County S.O. is different than most other Sheriff departments in KY. FCSO does not respond to any calls for service because Lex. PD takes all calls in the city and county. Fayette County deputies are responsible for serving court orders (i.e. warrants, summons, DVO's and EPO's). The deputies also perform security inside the Fayette District and Circuit courts. Fayette county deputies ...

Miranda rights - Police Forums & Law Enforcement Forums @ Officer.com
Hello, when I did the Citizen Police Academy four years ago we learned that Police are not required to read your rights as part of performing an arrest. They passed around a sheet the rights written on them, is this common? Also is it common practice to read directly from the card/sheet? Thanks.
