MSI Afterburner OC Scanner Tool - Scan failed with code 3
I was trying the OC Scanner tool for the first time in the latest version of MSI Afterburner (4.6.2.15631 Beta 1) & about 10 seconds into the scan it stops with the message "Scan failed code 3".

The nvml file cleared that issue but not the code 3 what ever the issue is. I'm using the driver downloaded through gfexperience. as of now that is v.417.71 which according to nvidias site is the newest.

I just had this card installed by Memory Express and when I try to run MSI after burner I get "Scan failed code 3" there was a post on this but its locked. I have done a clean install of latest drivers but thats all I have done I don't know what else to try

The long story in sort, NVIDIA this disable - remove software components from their drivers and break compatibility with older GPU and OC scanner. Latest drivers support OC scanner for RTX30xx only. Remove the latest drivers, and try to use this version, if OC scanner starts working .... then never upgrade the drivers again.

The printer and the scanner are full functional. I use my 43" TV as second monitor. I bought something like this and use a 5 meter HDMI cable. A cordless mouse and keyboard are also in use. I dont use a laptop stand but at home I put two old chopping boards (1 cm thick) under the (rear feets ???) of the Laptop to elevate it a bit.
